Your treatment will be performed by a licensed doctor. Schedule your FREE consultation now!
Your consultation will begin in our modern facility with your refractive surgery counselor. After we read the prescription lenses in your glasses and learn more about your vision correction objectives, we will start a series of tests.
The first test performed is with our iDesign Refractive Studio technology. Not all LASIK facilities have this advanced and proven technology. This technology allows us to get a detailed scan of over 1250 unique data points of your eye’s imperfections. We measure your prescription 25 times more precisely than a traditional prescription measurement. Until now, eye doctors were forced to practice a “one-size-fits-all” vision correction. A standard LASIK off-the-shelf procedure can correct your vision well; however, it does not correct it precisely. Now, with iDesign Refractive Studio technology, we can customize a precise correction for the unique characteristics of your vision.
The second test is a tomography scan showing a cross section view of the cornea and anterior segment of the eye including a tissue thickness measurement of your cornea. It is also a topography scan showing the curvature and shape of the surface of your cornea. Unlike other standard topography systems, CS LASIK Institute invested in the Oculus Pentacam to be able to collect more precise and accurate data for our doctors to ensure the best results for our patients. The Oculus Pentacam uses technology similar to the technology used for CT scans. For patients with astigmatism, the Oculus Pentacam shows us exactly where your astigmatism lies. It also helps rule out any contraindications for treatment.
Next, you will receive a thorough dilated eye exam with our Optometrist. We dilate the eyes to ensure overall health of the eye from front to back. Most patients feel comfortable driving after consultation. If being dilated is a concern, we welcome you to bring a driver. During the dilated eye exam, you will learn more about procedure options, associated risks, and whether you are deemed a good candidate for vision correction. This is also the time when all your questions will be answered.
Lastly, you will meet back up with your refractive surgery counselor to discuss procedure fees, payment options, and post-op care. Financing for 24 months is available, and applications can be processed in a matter of minutes. More importantly, you will be able to schedule your life changing vision correction procedure in as soon as one week!
