There are so many ads and options out there.

We get it- sifting through all the ads for LASIK can be confusing and often times misleading. It can be difficult to find straightforward information on laser vision correction cost. Our team has designed this LASIK Pricing Guide to help you make the most informed decision for yourself.

How to compare price quotes.

Not all price quotes are the same. Many factors determine the cost of LASIK. Some quotes include everything needed before and after the procedure while others include very little other than the procedure itself. The national average cost for Laser Vision Correction in 2022 was $5176 ($2588 per eye).

What determines cost?

To clearly understand the differences in pricing quotes you must first understand differences in method, technology, surgeon experience, enhancements, after care visits, and after hours care access.

LASIK Method– microkeratome (blade) or laser assisted (blade-less)
Laser Technology– older economy line vs most advanced
Surgeon Experience– general ophthalmologist vs corneal specialist
Aftercare Visits– 1 or 2 initial follow-ups vs 12 months of follow-ups
After Hours Access to Care– ER visit vs immediate access to surgeon
Dry Eye Treatment– additional billable visits vs included

We keep it simple and transparent.

We offer one flat fee for LASIK and PRK regardless of prescription type or prescription amount- even those with astigmatism. Our patients are only treated using the VISX Star S4 IR Excimer laser and the 5th Generation Intralase iFS Advanced Femtosecond laser. Everything is done onsite and our laser suite is viewable for your comfort. NO blades or needles here. Dr. James Lee, MD is our board certified corneal specialist and LASIK surgeon with decades of experience. Dr. James Lee, MD specializes in treating the cornea- the clear window on the surface of the eye where LASIK is done.

What makes us different. The Premium Experience.

Pre-operative Evaluation– includes gold standard technology to ensure candidacy and safety using the Oculus Pentacam HR and the iDESIGN Refractive Studio. We measure your prescription 25 times more precisely than when measuring for glasses or contacts.
Aftercare Visits– we make a 12 month commitment to care for all our patients. All office visits related to surgery are done at no additional cost for a full year following surgery. Beyond 12 months our medical team is available for routine care and accept most insurance plans.
The First 24 Hours– all surgery patients are seen in the office the day after surgery. Even if we treat you on Friday- you’ll see us on Saturday morning in casual attire just to make sure you are doing well and responding normally to surgery. We never want a patient suffering through a weekend or after hours. All surgery patients have access to care 24/7.
We’re Local– the entire team lives in the community. We are committed to your care and make ourselves available when you need us.
Enhancements– included for the first 12 months after surgery. If residual prescription remains after the first 3 months of healing we will retreat at no additional cost to you. Dr. James Lee, MD will determine medical safety and necessity of enhancements if needed.
Dry Eye Treatment– dryness is very common in Colorado’s climate and is expected during recovery from LASIK surgery. If over-the-counter treatments* do not provide relief we will place punctal plugs at no additional cost. These microscopic tear duct plugs prevent your tears from draining out of the eye and remain in the eye to provide more relief from dryness. *Patients are responsible for the cost of all over-the-counter and prescription medications required after surgery.
