Dr. Kaminsky hails from Canada and enjoys most sports, including hockey, golf, softball and volleyball. He and his wife love all things outdoors that Colorado has to offer and enjoy skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer.
Matthew Kaminsky, O.D., practices comprehensive optometry and his services include comprehensive eye examinations to detect and manage conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, allergies, dry eyes and eye infections or injuries. He specializes in managing patient care before and after refractive surgery. He also conducts specialty contact lens fittings involving various medical corneal conditions.
Dr. Kaminsky completed an internship at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona completing preoperative and postoperative care for refractive surgery patients. Dr. Kaminsky has co-authored papers in various optometric journals including research on concussion screening protocols using eye movement testing. Dr. Kaminsky has also volunteered at multiple Special Olympics events conducting eye exams for the athletes.
Dr. Kaminsky earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Brandon University and a Doctor of Optometry at Arizona College of Optometry at Midwestern University. He completed externships in ocular disease as well as specialty contact lens fitting, primary care and refractive surgery management.
Dr. Kaminsky holds a Colorado Optometric license and is a Certified Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agent. Dr. Kaminsky is a member of the American Optometric Association, Colorado Optometric Association and Southern Colorado Optometric Society. He is also a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honors Society.
